On the eve of October 31st, Pairi Daiza is delighted to share a compilation of videos showing some of its residents enjoying Halloween-themed enrichments.
Pairi Daiza was recently awarded the titles of "Europe's Best Holiday Park" and "Europe's Best Zoo".
At Pairi Daiza, animal keepers continuously ensure that the curiosity and needs of the park’s more than 7,500 animals are met. These enrichment activities take many forms: games, new scents, changes to their environments, or even food hunts, with varying levels of difficulty depending on the species.
Throughout the year, these activities are adapted to the seasons.
For Halloween, the animals discover special surprises hidden inside pumpkins — mealworms for the meerkats, endives for the lemurs, or chunks of meat for the lions. Everyone gets a treat, even those who, like the elephants and hippos, prefer to eat the pumpkins themselves!
Halloween will be celebrated at Pairi Daiza until Sunday November 2, from 10 AM to 10 PM.
More video rushes are available upon request!
