About Pairi Daiza

Pairi Daiza – The Garden of Worlds. Where Beauty Awakens Love

Created in 1994 on the ruins of the Cistercian Abbey of Cambron, founded in 1148, Pairi Daiza is Belgium’s leading tourist destination. The Garden of Worlds welcomes nearly three million visitors each year.

Across an 80-hectare estate, Pairi Daiza invites visitors to discover the beauty of our planet through gardens inspired by the five continents, exceptional botanical collections, authentic architecture, mineral treasures and thousands of animals, including many threatened species.

Honoured with numerous international awards, Pairi Daiza offers a journey of wonder through the treasures of the living world and civilizations, brought together in a single Garden.

Because we protect only what we love, this sense of wonder continues through the work of the Pairi Daiza Foundation, which supports dozens of conservation, scientific research and threatened-species protection programmes around the world each year.

In ancient Persian, Pairi Daiza means “paradise”.
